[Evolution] RCPT TO response error?

Hello,

I added a mail account (user otherdomain com) to evolution-1.0.5 and use
ssh to do port forwarding of port 3333 --> pop3 and 3334 --> smtp at
otherdomain.com so I can use that remote email address locally from
evolution.

I can get the email from otherdomain.com via pop3 but when I reply to an
email with user otherdomain com in the From: field and use the smtp
settings, I get an error message:

Error while 'Sending "Re: test":
RCPT TO response error: Transaction failed: mail not sent

Sending the reply works from my Win98 box (using portforwarding also)
and it also works if I use the local sendmail to send the reply. Anyone
have any idea what is causing this and how to solve it?
