This happens for me when the session manager tries to start evo. If I
restart evo by hand everything is fine. I'm running Ximian Gnome updated
with Red Carpet under Red Hat 7.1.

This was happening to me due to an old version of liboaf0 on the system
which was compiled from cvs. The debian version was not considered an
upgrade yet, so was not installed during my apt-get upgrade. The version
of oaf on the system had been installed from debian and was conflicting,
so an apt-get install liboaf0/unstable made me all better.
Cheers.

Hi !
As I'm pleased with Evo on my RH6.2 laptop, I just installed it on my
debian/unstable system (the debian version, not the ximian one).
However it refuses to start. I've killevd, oaf-slayed, but it still
tells me "Cannot initialize the Evolution shell: Configuration Database
not found" ...
Something to initialie beforehand ?
