[Evolution] how do i get a backtrace of evolution-mail

hello.
yesterday i received an email that crashed the evolution-mail component 
(i'm using the nightly snapshots). i'd like to get a backtrace for 
the developers. is there any "bug-finder" cheat sheet on how to get 
backtraces, etc? that might be a nice thing, but in the meantime 
a post describing how to get the trace would be sufficient.
