Re: [Evolution] Contacts

I've had no responses at all on this.

It appears to be some sort of problem with gnome-db.

I'm going back to pine.

Hello.

I sent a query on this a few days (weeks?) ago, but haven't seen anybody
respond so I thought I'd send another.

I'm using RC1 of Evolution; it's a recent reinstall from the previous
(non-CVS) version. Neither that version or the RC1 version created a
database for storing an addressbook in the ~/evolution/local/Contacts
directory. Here's what it looks like:

[ 17:18 ]~/evolution/local/Contacts
$ ls -al
total 3
drwxr-xr-x   2 tadamec  tadamec  512 Nov 27 17:18 .
drwxr-xr-x  14 tadamec  tadamec  512 Oct 23 10:58 ..
-r--r--r--   1 tadamec  tadamec    0 Oct 23 10:55 create-initial
-r--r--r--   1 tadamec  tadamec  103 Oct 23 10:55 folder-metadata.xml

The folder-metadata.xml file contains:

<?xml version="1.0"?>
<efolder>
      <type>contacts</type>
      <description>Contacts</description>
</efolder>

Where do I go to create the proper file? I'd really like to be able to
use the contact functionality and I can't find instructions anywhere
(list searches, documentation or Google) to build the file.

Help would be greatly appreciated.

 I took a course in speed reading and was able to read War and Peace in
