Could it be that evolution uses about 100 MB Memory tu run ?
That sounds a bit too much. You should not sum the sizes of the
processes of ps or top, as those don't account for shared memory and
multiple threads.
The only safe way to measure how much memory Evolution is taking is by
running `free' before and after running it.
