Agreed.  But again, if a user has set up multiple queues, they know enough
to put -Pthis_printer_does_2up.

lpr to the default queue is sufficient for the masses, IMO.

As Louie said, there is no platform-independent way to get printer config
info.  The future solution would be to add an evo-print component the sit
on top of gnome-print that implements a print-queue probe of the various
print systems, finds the queues, and lets the user select the queue to
print to.
