Nope, didn't work, and I compiled the latest BerkeleyDB from source.
You probably should be using the built in copy of db on your OS, not the
latest one. I wouldn't actually expect this to work if you upgrade
using a newer version of db. Try upgrading using the builtin
db_upgrade?
There is no built-in db_upgrade command on my system; that's why I had
to try and use the db3 upgrade. I couldn't find the db_upgrade command
on my system at all. That's why I downloaded and installed the latest
version (db3), because a Net search said that db_upgrade was a command
in the latest db3 version.
Are you saying I should uninstall db3, and try downloading and
installing db2, and doing a db_upgrade with that release?
If you're willing to wait a little while, CVS evolution will soon
handling upgrades just fine soon. I just finished getting it to compile
with a fairly recent version of db in my source tree.
I still have my backup copy, which should be version 2 (my "file"
command doesn't seem to give me that level of detail). When the
snapshots start up again, will my v2 copy work with that Evo? Or am I
forced to re-enter everything?
