Hi,
I'm getting frequent hangs with Evolution 0.10 (release) when accessing
my IMAP server. Sometimes it happens when I try and open a folder, and
sometimes when I press Get Mail. Does anyone else have this problem?
I'm going to try and use strace to capture this, as it doesn't actually
crash.
It crashed again and this time I strace'd every process I could find
related to evolution-mail:
[pid 5242] gettimeofday({989840611, 678841}, NULL) = 0
[pid 5242] ioctl(6, FIONREAD, [0]) = 0
[pid 5242] poll([{fd=6, events=POLLIN}, {fd=9, events=POLLIN}, {fd=11,
events=POLLIN}, {fd=13, events=POLLIN}, {fd=15, events=POLLIN}, {fd=7,
events=POLLIN}, {fd=16, events=POLLIN}, {fd=8, events=POLLIN}, {fd=18,
events=POLLIN}, {fd=19, events=POLLIN}, {fd=20, events=POLLIN}, {fd=21,
events=POLLIN}], 12, 249) = 0
[pid 5242] gettimeofday({989840611, 938697}, NULL) = 0
pid 5242 was evolution-mail. The trace was the above block looped (with
two gettimeofday calls) - I don't know where the beginning/end of the
loop is. Is this any help to any Evo developers out there??

Ross
