It's working again, so who knows.  I'm seeing a lot of
gtkhtml (and general evolution) stability problems right
now though, so it wouldn't surprise me at all if evolution
got confused and forgot that the Delete key was supposed to
work.

I'm trying to gather information and submit useful bug
reports, but it's difficult.
