If you turn gropuing on, it can only order the top-level "groups" by
subject., and internally you can order by date inside each group, is
this what you want?

At the moment the whole widget is being redone, so it doesn't even work
on the head version, but it will before long.

If you want to group based on convesations with aribtrary sorting,
perhaps you should try the threaded view?
