What's going on here is that the config editor (or something) is not
writing out a valid URL, there should be a username and there should
also be an @ after the auth=PLAIN part.
I'll see if I can't figure out the problem (thought I fixed this a while
ago??) and/or talk to danw. He's redoing the account druid/editor so I
don't want to change too much on him if I can avoid it.

On Build 2001.03.24.09.00, when I try to use my IMAP account identiy to
send mail via a different smtp server then my default server, I get a
dialog which says
"Error while 'Sending "test"'; No such host, auth=PLAIN143.102.66.12
The address I'm sending to is a valid host, and I can send mail to it
via Netscape from this computer.
Also, if I try to send from my 2nd pop account, which is the same server
as my default pop account - just a different name - I get a "Cannot send
mail - no route to host via Port 110" (not even an smtp port - is it
trying to POP first? - it does this same thing on multiple computers.
Its strange that the default can use this same smtp server with no
problems. Also, I still get the same message - "no route to host via
Port 110) on the same (2nd) pop account when trying to receive mail.
If I can be of any help in this please let me know.
Best Regards,
DCM
