[Evolution] gal 5.0

I'm trying to compile evolution-0.9 --

I've downloaded gal-5.0 and compiled and installed it but I keep getting
errors when running ./configure for evolution saying that gal-5.0 or higher
must be installed.  I didn't find any gal-devel-5.0 files -- are they
needed -- if so where do I find them.

Any ideas on this problem?
