First, would your sysadmin let you connect with SSL and a plaintext
password? (That should be supported soon in evolution.)

If not, the only program I know of currently that does NTLM
authentication is fetchmail (and yeah, it stole the code from samba).
We've talked about re-stealing that code into Evolution, but weren't
sure if it would be worth it once we supported SSL...

(So, no, you can't do it now, but it is definitely a possibility.)
