hello.
is there any timetable for a new PPC snapshot? i'm running the 0.10
preview, but there are some things i know are fixed in the nightlies
that i'd like to have. am i better off spending a day getting evolution
to compile from the src.rpm? i don't mind that, but i fear library
version hell will accompany it.

on the contrary, if you build yourself the package from sources, it will use
the libraries installed on your system, so no library version problem
will arise. Although you may find some problems if the gal/gtkhtml
versions are a bit old, in which case, the solution would be to also
build gal and gtkhtml from the .src.rpm.
