This is a bug in gtk. If you either downgrade to gtk 1.2.9 or install
the Ximian GNOME gtk 1.2.10 rpm, it will be fixed.
Aaron, can you FAQ this?
I have launched Evo on my RH6.2 all redcarpetted, and on a progeny
system with ximian apt-sources (export DISPLAY), the behavior is not the
same, although the libraries should all be Ximian ones.
