I think its already been entered in bugzilla, to make it configurable.
But yeah we all know about it, I think it stinks too ...

I propose it be changed, or be configurable.  A couple possibilites: 
"[Fwd: subject here]", or "subject here (fwd)"

The former being the method used by Netscape, the latter Pine.
