[Evolution] Address Book

My address book still does not give me the option to add a user to the
db. However, if I right click on an email in my Inbox and choose 'Add
Sender To Address Book' a window opens, pretty big window, the top half
has the persons details, the bottom half has 'Querying Address book...'
and then it just sits there...
Is there any way to recreate the addressbook db?
