Losing your preferences once is one thing, but with each invocation of
Evolution, I lose things like the sort order of messages, the order of
the fields in the message "view", etc. Have you noticed this as well?
I tend to sort my messages with latest date at the top of the list.
Click on the data column, etc. Used to stick between invocations.

It shouldn't whack ALL your preferences - mine kept all my filters and
folders, for example. I *did* have to re-enter my mail account settings.
I didn't see that as too big of a deal, since I only have 2 POP accounts
