People inside MS hate to use it too.

Ha ha. See, Miguel! It sucks! :-)
I don't use it either. :) Anyone who uses Outlook without an
Exchange Server is nuts. it's a bad POP client and a miserable IMAP
    client.

Holy crap, I got on this list and downloaded the latest snapshot to see
if multi-part messages that choked 0.8 preview were fixed. This is the
first time I've seen a reply I've done turn all italics. How do I turn
that off?.

I was just going to say, I use Outlook at work, primarily because
Evolution is the only alternative for me, who uses a Linux workstation
amidst an NT and Exchange network. Outlook Web client is pretty good,
and on my Win2K machine I have regular Outlook. And Evolution has only
recently been trustworthy enough to use full time. I think pine, elm
and mh are ugly, Netscape is incompatible with other mail apps, but
Outlook works great for me. The appointments thing is great, primarily
because of the reminder thing that pops up to remind me of meetings.
But I rarely schedule meetings myself.

Anyway, I don't understand why if Outlook sucks so bad, people like
Evolution so much. Clearly for me, the best thing about Evolution is
how much it adheres to the UI idioms of Outlook. I never thought of
someone who configures their email to always send plain-text, uses
filters and organizes things in multiple folders in their Inbox as a
"power user," but I guess I am one. I don't know. Maybe a child off
the street is puzzled by Outlook at first, but it's pretty nice once you
get to know it a little, as anyone with half a brain using it on a daily
basis must.
