Ok, I did some more playing with this.

I always have "threaded" on, but when I'm in one of the folders that
does the above, and turn off threading, all the messages show up.  If I
turn it back on, they disappear..

On the other had, I tried that with my Inbox, and when I turned
threading off, they all appeared, but when I turned it back on, evo blew
up after spewing a bunch of messages like this(likely one for each
message).

assertion `node' failed.

However, I can't seem to make that happen again(the crash), but the
threaded/nomsg, unthreaded/allmsg thing still happens..

Any ideas?
