Here's a more specific example of this behavior:
When I first view Joseph B. Welch's message "Mail Component Problems"
send to the Evo mailing list at 11:48 today, there is an icon next to
the text attachment. But if I right click and choose "Hide", the
attachment icon disappears. If i right click the remaining 1px icon dot
and show the attachment again, the icon is still gone, but if I go to a
different message and come back the icon reappears.
Hope that helps with diagnosing the problem.

I was just noticing that on certain messages (maybe 2 out of every 3)
the attachments don't display an icon, leaving me with a one-pixel
target for my right-clicking. There doesn't seem to be any pattern to
which messages have icons and which do not. Any ideas?
Notes:
* I just upgraded to the latest debian daily build, I had the same
problem with the previous daily build I was using, from sometime last
week Before that I was using 0.8.
* I recently had to rebuild my system, so I backed up my evolution
directory and restored it (not that it should matter).
* I'm using maildir format for my Inbox.
