The same problem exists in Xterm, Gnome-Terminal, gvim and so on; it
might be a general configuration issue under linux, rather than an
Evolution-specific problem.


Uhm, forgot to ask: Why is Evolution choosing a wrong charset in this
case?  windows-1251 is just wrong when iso-8859-1 is the "main" charset.
windows-1252 might be right.
