Hi all,
I understand that Evolution synces with Palm and Visor. Did somebody
think about the far more widespread mobile phones?
For example my Ericsson T68 has a calendar, task manager and internal
email client plus the SMS messaging and chat. Ericsson provides
synchronization tools for M$ Outlook and Lotus Notes on Windows only.
The phone (and many new phones) supports the SyncML standard as well as
vCard/vCalendar. It can get synchronized via IrDA, Bluetooth, serial
cable or via WAP(IP).
Wouldn't it be worth to get the synchronization functionality to work
also for such devices (which actually sell in vaste numbers, compared to
PDAs)? The protocols used there are quite open and such stuff would
eventually work for many different phone brands (e.g. Nokia, Siemens,
Panasonic, Sony, etc.)
