Did you build Evo yourself, or get a prebuilt binary?

If you got a prebuilt version then it won't have LDAP support built in
for various licensing (now obsolete IIRC) and dependency issues (at
least this is true for <= 0.12, I assume it still is)

If you built it yourself, do you have OpenLDAP 2.x, and did you specify
to build with it?
