Thanks for the answer. I had tried oaf-slay and killev and tried it
again but to no avail. I just can't get evolution or Nautilus for that
matter to run properly on a remote DISPLAY. Actually Nautilus always run
on hosts DISPLAY :0 for me
Any other idea ?

Hmmm, I run Evolution through ssh all the time, no idea about the others

Maybe you need to killev or oaf-slay before starting volution through a
ssh connection (oaf may be starting the components on the wrong Display
or something?).

Hi,
Has anybody tried to run evolution over the network. It doesn't seem to
work for me. I either get a message that says:
Cannot access Bonobo/Config Database on wombat:
or I get the evolution window without any folder content just the folder
names.
I am trying to run evolution over ssh, vncviewer, rfbserver and I get
always the same result. Note that other Gnome applications don't have
any problem running in that setup. Actually the only other app with the
same problem is Nautilus.
So I am sure I am not setting something right. I love the product and
want my customers to use it but I need to be able to support it
remotely.
My setup is:
RH 7.1 with Ximian updates.
My evolution is 0.12.99 snap 200108160708
I use red-carpet and I am up to date
Please help!
Thanks for a great product,
Pascal
