Re: [Evolution] Resetting Inbox Totals?

Also, try expunging deleted messages (Ctrl-E or Actions->Expunge) from
the Inbox... that seems to clear up this sort of trouble for me, and
you don't have to delete any files or restart evo.

Hello,

I reported a bug a little while back about the total new messages for a
folder not getting updated when you move new messages from that folder
to another folder without marking them as read. This has gotten my
Inbox to now say that I have 97 new messages even though there are only
5 messages in my inbox, and they are all read!

Anyways, I was just wondering if anyone knows of a file that I might be
able to edit or anything that I can do to just reset that number (the
one that indicates how many new messages you have in a given folder)...

If these numbers persist between exiting and restarting evolution, your
summary probably has issues. Deleting
~/evolution/local/Inbox/mbox.summary (for example) should fix this, I
guess. Obviously, exit evolution before you do this.
