Mark,

Peter identified a part of the cause.  You can work around it if you delete
/tmp/orbit-$USER/reg.IDL:OAF_ActivationContext* each time before you start evolution (where $USER is your login).  According to what I saw from Peter and Ettore it looks like a problem in OAF.
