Hey there:

This may not solve anybody's problems, but I've been working on a 
client-side solution to this exact problem (groupware calendar sharing) 
using a WebDAV server.

I've been using Gnome Calendar as the calendar, but I'm sure porting the 
code over to Evo won't be that hard once it has stabilized a bit.
