Just curious -- are you running XFree 4 and the font server xfstt?
They don't play well together, and it causes the crash that you describe.
In general few programs can crash X -- even poorly written ones. And
Evolution isn't poorly written.

I have a few e-mails that if I select from the list pane in Evolution, X
is restarted. This has occured with the last few builds that I have
downloaded from Red Carpet. What information would be useful in helping
to debug this problem? I have attached the section of my mbox file that
includes one of the emails that causes the X crash.

I am running XFree86 4.0.2, but I do not believe that I am running
xfstt. As far as font servers, I am using XFree86's xfs and am loading
the freetype, type1, and speedo font modules.
