Please find attached a patch to pas-file-backend.c that properly
initializes the "view" struct (struct fields including pointers were
being used uninitialized, causing a wild pointer to be passed
to a string routine). This bug caused my PPC build of the snapshot
to crash every other time I entered a recipient in the "To:" field
of the composer.
General questions:
What's the best place to submit bugs and patches like this?
Is there an easy way to generate a diff from a source RPM?
Is there an easy way to roll a new source RPM with changes
like this in it based on the original SRPM? What's the "canonical"
way to include patches like this in RPMs?
Sorry some of these are off-topic. Is anyone maintaining PPC builds
of the snapshots?
Great job on everything; I've been using 0.8 and 0.9 on
Intel, and 0.8 and the snapshots using binary and SRPMs, for
months now. I can't live without evolution at this point.
