Is there any way to set the password for various mailboxes so that you
don't have to type in the passwords each time
No, not yet. (Well, you can store them in plaintext in
~/evolution/config/Mail if you want. Just add ":password" between the
username and @host in the POP or IMAP URL.)
How do youy transfer old mailboxes into evolution (mboxes from spruce)
I tried copying the mboxes and it did not work big time
For now, the easiest way is to create the folders you want from within
evolution, and then copy the mboxes into the directory tree that it
creates. So if you create a folder /local/Foo/Bar in Evolution, copy
the mbox file to ~/evolution/local/Foo/subfolders/Bar/mbox
Filters - are there any plans for including a move option
That's what "Copy" does. The messages are filtered *before* they
arrive in your Inbox, and they only end up in the Inbox if they don't
get copied anywhere else. Yes, this is a bit confusing.
