Re: [Evolution] Evolution 0.5.1 is still profoundly unstable on my system

I don't know if this will help, but I noticed that the error says locale
not supported.
if you are using the gdm login, I believe ( haven't checked in a few
weeks ) that the default locale option does not work. You could try
setting your locale manually and then try to run evolution. You can do
this upon logging in by selecting Language-> whatever then have it set
that as the default, but I don't remember how to set this in a terminal
window

Just a thought, hope it helps

The theme problem still persists with the latest release. I am using
the Default theme, but with a custom font (Clean 14 pt) on Mandrake
7.0. If I keep the custom font, Evolution crashes every single time.
This is as far as it gets:

If I switch to the default font, then evolution will always crash the
first time it comes up. Here's the last part of what it returns:

....
EStorageSetView: Adding -- /local/Sent
EStorageSetView: Adding -- /External Directories/Bigfoot
EStorageSetView: Adding -- /External Directories/Netcenter

Gdk-CRITICAL **: file gdkwindow.c: line 850 (gdk_window_move_resize):

If I try to launch evolution again, then it will come up. But if I try
to switch to Calendar for example, it will crash. When I launch
evolution again and switch to Calendar, it will work. But switching to
address book will then crash.

I assume that all of this is probably due to the fact that there are
evolution processes still running in the background and that they are
not communicating very well when evolution gets launched again
(presumably because the processes were originally launched when I had
the custom font selected, and now that's different from the font in
use???). By the way, after running through all this mess, I have 3
evolution-mail processes, one evolution-calendar process, and one wombat
process going. This doesn't seem right. Why are there 3 mail processes
running?

Dan
