Have you already played with the options in control-center for URL
handling?

yeah one of the first things i tried and got that to work when i click on any
html file, still still bought up netscape in evolution  though when i clicked
on a url on an emial--


Did you quit and restart Evolution? You might need to do that...

It just calls gnome_url_show() (or whatever it's called), so it ought
to be using what the capplet tells it to.
