Re: [Evolution] gtkhtml inlined images

Hi Larry,

I think you didn't read well my mail:
the image is part of the message, it's not to be retrieved on the network.
*BUT*, its name is an url, not an arbitrary id.
I repeat:
the image is part of the message, it's not to be retrieved on the network.

This is not a bug in gtkhtml, evolution makes no attempt to load images
that are not part of the message. There are several security and
privacy issues that we have to address before it is safe for evolution
to load external urls. Only after we are satisfied that we have
acceptable solutions to these problems will evolution load external
urls. On the good side I'll probablt start working on this soon.

Hi !

GTKhtml seems to have problems when inlined images are named with an url.
In
the mail body, I have (this is QP-encoded):

<IMG=20
      alt=3D"Voir le descriptif d=E9taill=E9 du produit." border=3D0
height=
=3D50=20
      src=3D"http://www.rueducommerce.fr/info/images/produits/info/small/ph=
oto_fuji_FinePix40i.jpg"=20
      width=3D75>

And in the attachment header:

Content-Type: image/jpeg; name="photo_fuji_FinePix40i.jpg"
Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64
Content-Location: http://www.rueducommerce.fr/info/images/produits/info/small/photo_fuji_FinePix40i.jpg

but no pictures are displayed !
