Ok, since we're talking about the whole ldap thing, I have had
some problems bringing up our internal ldap listing from the entry I
created in Evolution. It will bring up about 15 eCards, then wombat will
barf. Here's the gdb trace of it:

When I poll Netcenter, it works perfectly. Ideas?
hrm.. is your schema something different than the openldap default?
