Re: [Evolution] "Why I hate Outlook"

No wonder my mail filter would work ONLY when it was sent as
TO: evolution helixcode com

My mail filter is setup as so:
If Any TO or CC is *evolution helixcode com*
Store in evolution

When it was sent as Jamie said as so:
To: John <jsk29 cornell edu>; evolution helixcode com

It would NOT filter it and end up in my INBOX....no wonder it was the
semi-colon. Thanks Jamie for clarifying this.

#That at least did what its author intended it to.

# To: John <jsk29 cornell edu>; evolution helixcode com
#
#is garbage -- that doesn't parse, according to RFC 822, because there
#was no ":" before the addr-spec. You wanted a comma there. The only
#legal non-quoted use of ";" is to terminate a "group" of addresses,
#like:
#
# To: some losers: loser one, loser two; someone else
#
#but of course just about no MUA in the world correctly parses that
#latter form correctly either, so basically, using a ";" in an address
#field is painting a big old kick-me sign on your back.
#
#Mmmm, more RFC822 landmines...
