What is a db3 system? (DBase III? =) ).
www.sleepycat.com has all the data you need.
I'm very interested in improving efs (or reimplement it) so it can be a kind of
journalist-filesystem (although I vaguely know what it implies) so that binary corruption
were not an issue.
Journaling helps you recover after a crash on damages to the metadata
and the contents of a file, it will not help with random corruption to
a file.
