Thanks for the tip. it now (seems to) installs no problem.
BUT now I am stuck on the ./configure step with evolution.
When running ./configure I get the following error message:

checking for pilot-link version >= 0.9.3... configure: error: pilot-link
0.9.3 required

I do not need this, can it be switched off??
It is installed via rpm from Helix-Gnome and I have also downloaded the
tarball and installed but get the same error when going back to ./configure
with evolution.
Any ideas would be appreciated......nearly there.....
