[Evolution] "Source" Filter operational?

Sorry if this has been addressed, but I'm new to the list and I don't
have the benifit of browsing previous posts... 

Is the "source" filter type operational?  I've tried to use it but two
things go wrong... For starters, there's nothing in the drop box, where
there are supposed to be source URLs, as far as I can tell... Secondly,
even if I do enter something manually into the box, when I save the
filter and come back to look at it, the box is empty.

Have I missunderstood the "source" filter, or is it not yet operational?
It would be an extremely useful filter for me if it does work.
