That does nothing.
It's just trying to look pretty.
Eventually it will let you search on Google (or maybe any other
websearch...)

But if you click on the "Add service" button and add a service 
(3 to choose from at the moment: The mail summary, the rdf summary and
the 
ever so useful test-service)
then you'll see what it's for.
Or at least get an idea for, as Dan said, it's very immature.
