this is a totally inept reason to recommend an OS to someone.

some of us dont' have that kind of freedom of choice.  commercial apps are
required, in some cases.  demanding 'use linux' is more work for more
people than simply doing your implementation in such a way that it works
in as many cases as possible.

anyway... this argument is pointless.  i'm out.
