Hi
I'm running Fedora Rawhide with Evolution 3.13.6-1.fc22
Is it just me or has Evolution regressed to a point that its almost
unusable (especially with mobile broadband)?
Hi,
it depends on the actual backtrace of the running/stuck evolution.
I guess you face this bug:
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=712392
also because there really didn't change much in this regard in
evolution between 3.13.5 and 3.13.6. The fix is included in today's
3.13.7 release, together with other semi-related fixes. It'll be
available in Fedora's rawhide within the next few hours.
I see lots of progress notifications at the status bar in Evolution.
They grow, ... and grow until there's no space to contain the new
notifications. The clutter is disheartening. The newest bizarre
status is the "Unknown background operation". What is that?
Unknown is unknown, the operation didn't identify itself yet.
Backtrace matters here, but I'd guess this is related to server
address resolutions (it uses to be), thus also related to the above
bug.
Bye,
Milan
