With the release of 3.12.0 next Monday, Evolution and E-D-S will
transition to an annual instead of semi-annual release schedule.
This is primarily to compensate for the long delays between upstream
releases and distribution releases, and will give Evolution users more
time to upgrade to and use a version supported by the development team.
The Evolution release schedule will consist of monthly updates to both
our development branch and latest stable release branch throughout the
year into February, and will then sync up with GNOME's SPRING release
schedule, starting with the .90 release through the final release,
honoring all the announcement and freeze periods therein.
Package maintainers of distributions on a semi-annual release schedule
should plan accordingly.
