You probably haven't configured your session bus to look for service
files in the place where jhbuild installs them.

Add something like this to your /etc/dbus-1/session.conf:

  <servicedir>/path/to/jhbuilt/share/dbus-1/services</servicedir>

Or you could just start the services manually from a separate terminal
window.  That's what I usually do so I can monitor the standard output.

Thanks - running evolution-addressbook-factory --wait-for-client in a
separate terminal worked great.

I've now tested and submitted my patch[1].
