You might wanna check out jhbuild ( live.gnome.org/Jhbuild) . Most of gnome code is hosted in git ( git.gnome.org ). Additionally, check your distribution list for specific instructions.
Fedora offers yum and debian/ubuntu offer apt to allow one to download source packages and build them locally.

Hi,I am trying to solve this bug, As I am totally new to evolution even I don't know how to compile it's source code. Can Any body Guide me how should I proceed to this ?
Please find the attachment. If I am not wrong, the image which I have attached to those icon's have to give the tooltips ? And what they stands for can anybody tell me so that I can add the tooltip and try to update the documentation too.
