I think our bloated Preferences dialog would best be alleviated by
moving EPlugin-specific preferences to the Plugin Manager in the style
of applications like Gaim/Pidgin and Rhythmbox, instead of allowing
plugins to haphazardly pollute the main Preferences dialog.  In other
words, give the Plugin Manager a Configure button.

Does that jibe with your statement about using buttons to launch dialogs
with infrequently used options?
