Agreed, it'd be a great improvement.
In the Evince search bar, what key do you hit to jump to the next match?
You can continually hit enter to reach the next match. The search wraps automatically and we ditched the case sensitive search since it's easier to just keep hitting enter while quickly looking and then go back when you miss it. I believe Shift-Enter is supposed to work for previous... I should try that out just to check.
