A different (better? -- not so sure) solution would be to keep track of
which are used, sort them by frequency descending, and move those that
aren't used too often into a sub-list or a hidden area.
(I for one usually use Recipients or Sender, rarely message search.
Perhaps if those were unified into a 'Person' search...)
