[Evolution-hackers] "Clean" installing 1.5.x?

Hello, hope this is not a FAQ, but is there a way to "clean" the 1.5.x
install and force an import? It doesn't seem to work for me, and
specifically, the AddressBook never works. I understand this is a
development version, but in my case it looks like a configuration
problem.

Can I safely delete apps/evolution in gconf-editor for example?
