actually, I am debugging 1.4.6-2 (debian paket)

And I don't agree...some code from the file
pas-backend-ldap.c is still in use, as

using etheral, I see a LDAP query packet containing the following:

Filter: (objectClass=MyBarnIsBiggerThanYourBarn)

and

stan pablo:~/projects/evolution-1.4.6$ grep -nr
"MyBarnIsBiggerThanYourBarn" build-tree/
build-tree/evolution-1.4.6/addressbook/backend/pas/pas-backend-ldap.c:2588: g_strdup("objectClass=MyBarnIsBiggerThanYourBarn"));
Fichier binaire
build-tree/evolution-1.4.6/addressbook/backend/pas/pas-backend-ldap.o
concorde
Fichier binaire
build-tree/evolution-1.4.6/addressbook/backend/pas/libpasldap.a concorde
Fichier binaire build-tree/evolution-1.4.6/wombat/.libs/evolution-wombat
concorde
build-tree/evolution/addressbook/backend/pas/pas-backend-ldap.c:2588:
g_strdup("objectClass=MyBarnIsBiggerThanYourBarn"));

stan pablo:~/projects/evolution-1.4.6$

--> this is IMHO a proof that this file is used...

Stan.

that's the problem: it doesn't.
